Midoco appoints Michael Duffy as new VP Strategic Sales and Partnernships for North America

Travel technology veteran with more than 25 years in agency systems, back-office integration and travel payments will lead Midoco's expansion among North American TMCs.
Hamburg, September 2nd, 2026 – Midoco Group, one of Europe's leading software providers for the international travel industry, announces the appointment of Michael Duffy as Vice President Sales and Strategic Partnerships – North America. Duffy will lead the company's strategy, sales and partnerships in North America, where Midoco's Umbrella Profiles solution already holds a market-leading position and demand for its post-booking workflow platform is growing among U.S. TMCs.
“Michael knows how a TMC really works – where the manual effort sits, what customers are asking for, and how to build the automation that removes it,” said Steffen Faradi, CEO of Midoco Group. “That combination of operational insight and inventiveness is what our customers in North America need in a partner, and it is why we are delighted to have him on the team.”
Duffy joins Midoco from Grasp Technologies, where as Vice President of Product, Partnerships and Innovation he built the company's payments and analytics partnerships – including agreements with more than 80 issuing banks – and led the launch of its virtual payment product graspPAY, the first virtual card solution integrated into Concur online bookings. Earlier he was Chief Information Officer at Encore Travel and Vice President, Business Processes and IT at Maritime Travel, where he built the integrations between front- and back-office systems that agencies rely on every day. He holds an Executive MBA, serves as Vice-Chair of the GBTA Accommodations Committee and speaks regularly on AI, payments and travel data.
“TMCs, Travel agencies, and OTAs have invested heavily in recent years in improving the front-end experience, but there is still a tremendous opportunity to modernize the operational side of the business,” said Duffy. “Midoco brings together the workflows, automation and integrations that sit behind the booking: from fulfillment and reconciliation through to accounting and reporting, in a modern, scalable platform. Having spent much of my career working with TMCs in North America, I see a real appetite for technology that can simplify operations, reduce manual processes and help agencies scale more efficiently.
Umbrella Profiles gives TMCs centralized traveler profile management across booking channels – a critical capability for multinational corporate programs – and is used by around 600 agencies in 70 countries. Midoco's post-booking workflow platform builds on that foothold, automating the full post-booking workflow from order management and invoicing to commission tracking and financial reconciliation, with an open, system-agnostic architecture that integrates with all major GDSs, NDC channels, online booking tools and third-party content sources.
