Hilden, August 25, 2021 – As of July 29, 2021, MIDOCO Midoffice can process hotel bookings made with Expedia TAAP, the travel agent booking platform from Expedia Partner Solutions. After connecting through the newly launched interface, bookings can be retrieved and automatically loaded into MIDOCO Midoffice for further processing. Agents can now manage Expedia TAAP bookings in the same manner as transactions from other connected sources.
Expedia TAAP (Travel Agent Affiliate Program) is a leading online travel agent booking platform operational in over 30 markets globally. In establishing this connection, MIDOCO Midoffice continues to follow its goal of enabling its travel partners to execute a multi-content strategy by allowing them to manage content from multiple sources efficiently. The interface is designed to be opened to further Expedia TAAP products such as car rentals, flights and activities.
David Chappell, Country Director UK at MIDOCO Group, states: “The connectivity to Expedia TAAP is an exciting development that reinforces MIDOCO’s goal of building a platform to enable our travel partners to handle bookings made in different systems efficiently. With MIDOCO Midoffice, Expedia TAAP bookings can now be handled within the framework of our clients’ overall booking workflows, preventing unnecessary and time-consuming workarounds.”
Robin Lawther, Senior Director at Expedia TAAP comments, “We are excited about this strategic agreement with MIDOCO Midoffice which sees the automated import of Expedia TAAP bookings into our partners’ back-office systems. Through this API integration, Expedia TAAP agencies who are MIDOCO’s clients, can now more easily access and manage their Expedia TAAP bookings. We believe that this will be a welcome new feature for our mutual partners, improving both efficiency and the travel agent experience.”
